Logs & Whole Trees

Rotochopper B-66 Processing Whole Trees for Boiler Fuel.

Featuring the most aggressive infeed in the industry, the Rotochopper B66 efficiently processes whole trees and logs for biomass fuel production and land clearing. For smaller diameter round wood, like forestry slash, the MC-266 offers an unparalleled combination of portability and efficiency. Both models are available in portable or track-mounted configurations.

MC-266 Processing Forestry Slash for Biomass Fuel. Our aggressive infeed design provides unmatched control and efficiency, smoothly forcing trunks and limbs into the rotor. Unlike drum or disk chippers, our horizontal grinders can efficiently process a wide range of raw materials besides whole trees—bark, railroad ties, round or square bales, wood chips, sorted C & D, and countless other wood fiber and agricultural resources.

Compare Rotochopper Grinders to Tree Chippers.

B-66 Processing Logs.Designed for ease of operation and maintenance, each grinder model allows fast tooth and screen changes from ground level, requiring only the equipment provided with the machine, keeping your operation up and running with minimal prep and maintenance time.

Our new biomass rotor offers better efficiency than typical grinding rotors and better wear life than chipper knives—with a fraction of the maintenance and prep work. In contrast to chippers, our grinders also maintain particle uniformity as the teeth wear. This combination of consistent uptime, particle size control, and efficiency means that you consistently get the finished product specs you need, with low operating costs.

Options & Attachments

Side Loading Discharge Conveyor.

Our optional side loading conveyor allows operators to fill trailers parallel to the grinder from either side or perpendicularly, maximizing operating time in cramped spaces. We also offer spiral log splitter loader attachments to maximize grinding efficiency. These log splitters are compatible with virtually any piece of loading equipment with adequate auxiliary hydraulics.
