Drafter/Detailer

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Drafter/Detailer is responsible for modeling fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Solidworks.  As well as creating and updating parametric drawings in conformance with 3D modeling standards. The Drafter/Detailer partners with engineers, research and development and production to ensure a quality product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accept work direction from other drafters/designers, engineers, and leaders on assigned projects.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
  • Produce three-dimensional models, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computer-assisted equipment.
  • Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
  • Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.

Electrical Engineer/Controls Integrator

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Control Systems Specialist is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of electrical products and systems utilized in Rotochopper machines. Control Systems Specialist conducts equipment engineering design evaluations and recommends alterations to development using state of the art technology and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Control Systems Specialist tests electrical components and systems for commercial, industrial use employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties. Control Systems Specialist partners with designers, research and development and production to ensure a quality product and a cutting-edge design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the electrical control/system design and ensure that our controls comply with regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Plan or develop applications or modifications for electronic properties used in components, products, or systems to improve technical performance.
  • Confer with engineers, customers, vendors, or others to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects or products.
  • Identify electrical system related training opportunities and help develop training needed to improve the overall organization’s development.
  • Create reports for management outlining current project status and current issues.
  • Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment and system changes.

Front Desk Administrative Assistant

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Front Desk Administrative Assistant at Rotochopper, Inc. is an administrative position responsible for performing daily office tasks such as answering phone lines, filing, copying, greeting visitors, and following proper front office procedures, as well as performing a variety of other tasks that may be assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives phone calls and ensures that all calls are handled in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Direct incoming calls to the appropriate company personnel and taking messages when necessary.
  • Greet all customers and visitors in a cordial and professional manner.
  • Maintain an organized and presentable reception area.
  • Performs additional clerical support duties such as typing or formatting data utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (for example, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Utilize and maintain company database to preserve necessary corporate information.
  • PowerPoint presentation and other general computer program support for leadership team.
  • Manage and maintain executives’ calendar schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.  Assist with miscellaneous documents and reports.
  • Schedule travel arrangements (for employees such as demo specialists, customer support technicians, marketing & internal sales team members), including, but not limited to flights, hotels, rental car, meeting scheduling and agendas.
  • Support meeting organization that includes meals, drinks, hotels, name plates, name tags, travel, etc.
  • Organizes warranty report information for consideration and review.
  • Manage Certificates of Insurance issued and received and develop a process to review annually and collect new ones once expired.
  • Complete renewal filings for all states Rotochopper operates in and develop a written process for completing annually.

Quality Control Inspector

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Quality Inspector tests and inspects product at various stages of the production process, collects and summarizes quality data to prioritize and direct improvement efforts and conducts problem solving efforts against known and developing quality issues by performing the following duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interprets engineering drawings and specifications containing elements of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Tests product at specified stages in the production process for mechanical, electrical and aesthetic product characteristics.
  • Conducts audits of finished product and presents findings to affected employees and supervision.
  • Schedules, performs and records results of inspection equipment calibration (e.g. calipers, micrometers) and torque tools.
  • Performs basic root cause analysis of quality issues found both within and outside of the manufacturing environment.
  • Works collaboratively with design and manufacturing personnel to resolve issues.
  • Measures components / parts using tools such as tape measures, micrometers, digital height gage, Romer/Faro arm (portable CCM), calipers, gage blocks, pin gages, protractors and other test and measurement equipment as required.
  • Develops and utilizes check sheets and data logs to collect data supporting quality engineering and problem-solving activities.
  • Prepares graphs and charts of data and communicates findings through e-mail and verbal communication to both individuals as well as small groups.
  • Validates parts and weldments.
  • Summarize inspection results in Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and PPAP documentation.
  • Coordinates and plans the disposition of nonconforming product.
  • Assists in the development and delivery of quality-oriented training activities.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Product Specialist is responsible for all areas of customer support and service to Rotochopper customers across the globe.  The Product Specialist is well versed and trained in the operation, diagnostics and repair of Rotochopper products. The Product Specialist is knowledgeable in heavy equipment operation, troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems, and has a working knowledge of diesel engines.  The Product Specialist will manage customer relationships and handle day to day customer service calls, as well and customer training.

  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Maintain work area to be clean and safe.
  • Maintain service vehicle; scheduling routine maintenance and services.
  • Troubleshoot issues and concerns, partnering with other departments and leadership as necessary.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by leadership.

Welder (Hiring 4 Positions)

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Welder | Fabricator is responsible for fitting and welding steel parts using a MIG welding process. They are responsible for assembling parts and may be asked to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his or her supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
  • MIG weld steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a specification.
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow, create and help maintain welding specifications.
  • Place and remove steel from steel racks and shelving.
  • Cut and bend steel to specific sizes as stated on prints
  • Set up welding cells for serial production runs.

  • Assemble items as instructed. Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
