Production Scheduler

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the production floor in order to achieve customer delivery dates. Duties include preparation of daily and weekly schedules for assigned departments and for coordination with overall schedule. Communicate regularly with purchasing and the production floor to ensure schedule changes and adjust for material availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acknowledge and schedule customer orders, creating sales orders and production requirements based on existing inventory.
  • Coordinate scheduling with production to meet customer delivery needs.
  • Review job orders, identify shortages and enter new orders.
  • Determine production requirements.
  • Expediate orders.
  • Support sales staff with customer service functions including general order information and shipment verification.
  • Utilize ERP system to auto-generate manufacturing work orders.
  • Coordinate manufacturing builds to ensure schedule are achieved.
  • Complete status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory.
  • Assist with finished goods inventory management.
  • Notify sales of any schedule impacts to customers.
  • Adjust production schedules as needed based on part availability and customer demands.
  • Maintain awareness and follow-up on back order repair requirements. Follow-up to ensure parts are shipped.
  • Act as technical resource to purchasing, manufacturing, and other departments to coordinate efforts and to address and resolve inquiries and problems.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Shipping & Receiving Specialist

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist at Rotochopper, Inc is responsible for storing, moving, and handling materials, while ensuring a safe, effective and efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment along with performing a variety of other tasks that may be assigned. Responsible to work in the areas of shipping, receiving, stocking and delivering of parts, supplies and products. Safely operating the forklift, moving freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, and from the storage/warehouse area to the production floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pick orders from stock or from staging area.
  • Prepare product for shipping to customers.
  • Ensure customer order and product match; box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary.
  • Contact common carriers and schedule pick-ups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements.
  • Load trucks with outgoing products and unload trucks with incoming materials.
  • Inspect materials and ensure bills of lading are correct.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
  • Place incoming materials into storage.
  • Pull materials from storage and deliver to production as needed.
  • Operate a bander to band boxes to be shipped.
  • Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Help research inventory discrepancies.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by leadership.

The Painter is responsible for the prepping, mixing and painting of Rotochopper products. The position maintains the cleanliness and safety aspects of the paint booth and equipment; both tools and personal protective equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up products and parts for prepping and painting.
  • Mix paints and primers to specifications/as directed.
  • Maintain required documentation of materials and waste per regulations; company, state and federal.
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Maintain the paint booth to meet cleanliness and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure routine cleaning and maintenance.
  • Understand and recognize quality prepping and painting and repair issues that do not meet standards.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Lift raw materials, final products, manually (up to 50 pounds), or using an overhead crane/hoist.

Equipment Sales Specialist

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Equipment Sales Specialist is responsible for all areas of customer support and service to Rotochopper customers around the globe.  The Equipment Sales Specialist is well versed and trained in the operation, diagnostics and repair of Rotochopper products. The Equipment Sales Specialist is knowledgeable in heavy equipment operation, troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems, and has a working knowledge of diesel engines.  The Equipment Sales Specialist will manage customer relationships through the demonstration process, as well as customer, potential customer, client and vendor training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and maintain customer expectations through relationship building and open communication.
  • Partner with sales to ensure a seamless demonstration of the product.
  • Ensure customers communication is a top priority by being available, answering questions and building report.
  • Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use.
  • Test electrical unites, analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronic units.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
  • Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment, as required.
  • Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain equipment service records, as well as document/report data on testing techniques or specifications to assist engineers.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, partnering with engineering, production and R&D as needed.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Maintain work area to be clean and safe.
  • Troubleshoot issues and concerns, partnering with other departments and leadership as necessary.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by leadership.

Quality Control Inspector

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Quality Inspector tests and inspects product at various stages of the production process, collects and summarizes quality data to prioritize and direct improvement efforts and conducts problem solving efforts against known and developing quality issues by performing the following duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interprets engineering drawings and specifications containing elements of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Tests product at specified stages in the production process for mechanical, electrical and aesthetic product characteristics.
  • Conducts audits of finished product and presents findings to affected employees and supervision.
  • Schedules, performs and records results of inspection equipment calibration (e.g. calipers, micrometers) and torque tools.
  • Performs basic root cause analysis of quality issues found both within and outside of the manufacturing environment.
  • Works collaboratively with design and manufacturing personnel to resolve issues.
  • Measures components / parts using tools such as tape measures, micrometers, digital height gage, Romer/Faro arm (portable CCM), calipers, gage blocks, pin gages, protractors and other test and measurement equipment as required.
  • Develops and utilizes check sheets and data logs to collect data supporting quality engineering and problem-solving activities.
  • Prepares graphs and charts of data and communicates findings through e-mail and verbal communication to both individuals as well as small groups.
  • Validates parts and weldments.
  • Summarize inspection results in Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and PPAP documentation.
  • Coordinates and plans the disposition of nonconforming product.
  • Assists in the development and delivery of quality-oriented training activities.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

The Welder | Fabricator is responsible for fitting and welding steel parts using a MIG welding process. They are responsible for assembling parts and may be asked to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his or her supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
  • MIG weld steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a specification.
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow, create and help maintain welding specifications.
  • Place and remove steel from steel racks and shelving.
