Jeff Thompson, Greenway Recycling Services LLC, Chicago, IL tells us why they purchased a Rotochopper grinder. We first purchased an EC-366, I liked the idea of an electric machine, our operation is a conveyor fed system so mobility wasn’t an issue. The electric grinder is also much cheaper to operate than a diesel unit. Our wood waste by volume is by largest material we produce. We produce about 100 tons of wood chips per day, which is a big pile. Jeff says, “I like to call it my vacuum cleaner because it runs 12 hours a day and sucks the material up and produces a finished product with literally no operator intervention.”
