Rotochopper MT175 Trommel Screen Overview: A Conversation Between Shota Austin and Preston McIntyre
Rotochopper customer, Shota Austin, Director of Tank’s Green Stuff shares with us what material they screen through their MT175 and the different features of the trommel screen they find most beneficial for their organic compost and landscape business.
“As a smaller machine and more compact, it has allowed us to be more versatile. We can easily load this on a flat bed and haul it to another facility to run other material. Just in terms of moving around the yard it’s just been a really great machine.” -Shota Austin, Tank’s Green Stuff

Screen & Color
Diversify your operation by adding a colorizer to your MT 175 Trommel Screen. Rotochopper has used their extensive knowledge and expertise in coloring to manufacture a self-powered, self-contained colorizer for the trommel screen. The all-in-one solution allows you to move from screening your product to coloring mulch by changing from a screening drum to a solid drum for coloring mulch. Efficiently produce over 275 yards per hour of consistent, vibrant colored mulch at the lowest cost per yard.
Trommel Screen Drum Change
Changing the drum on the Rotochopper MT Series Trommel Screen to either another size screening drum or to the solid drum for coloring can be done with the proper equipment by lifting the drum out of the trommel screen and then lowering the new drum into the trommel. The entire process can be easily accomplished in under 15 minutes. Watch the process in this video.
