We are delighted to announce the addition of Mike Elling to the Rotochopper team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In this role, Mike will oversee all facets of the company’s financial functions and significantly impact the company’s growth, profitability, and capital structure. A true partner to the CEO and the board, he will help drive overall strategy with insight into accounting, audit and tax, finance, and information systems.

Mike brings over 20 years of leadership experience across diverse industries. In addition to holding financial roles in healthcare, he has an extensive background in operational and financial leadership in manufacturing. He began his career as an accountant and financial analyst, and just three years later was promoted to a management role. He served in progressing leadership roles at Stanley Black & Decker, first as plant controller, then as plant manager of an $80M facility, and then as business unit controller spanning six North American, European, and Asian facilities. As CFO of Tenamec, a company serving the scrap, demolition, mining, and forestry industries, he led a brand turnaround, implemented targeted price increases, and focused engineering on cost out re-design. He is a visionary leader focused on maximizing sustainable growth through achievements in financial metrics, cost containment, and internal controls.

“I am thrilled to welcome Mike to the Rotochopper leadership team,” said Tosh Brinkerhoff, CEO of Rotochopper. “His financial knowledge and operational expertise in the heavy equipment manufacturing sector will provide critical insights to achieve our long-term vision. Mike has achieved growth across multiple businesses throughout his career, and I look forward to his contribution in creating value at Rotochopper.”

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the University of Minnesota Duluth and has a Lean certification. He and his wife Jo Lynn are relocating from Duluth, Minnesota, and their son Travis will be starting college in the fall. Mike is an avid snowboarder, and he enjoys spending time in the Boundary Waters and with his family.

“Rotochopper has a deep history and I’m honored and grateful to be joining such a strong and committed team,” said Mike. “Everyone I’ve met so far has been positive and welcoming, and I look forward to meeting the rest of the team. I’m excited for what the future holds for Rotochopper – and I’m so glad to be a part of it.”

Please help us welcome Mike Elling as Rotochopper’s new Chief Financial Officer.
