In October 2022 Rotochopper hosted customers and prospects at a regional Field Day event in Spokane, Washington. The event provided a great day for the seventy plus attendees as they were able to see seven different pieces of Rotochopper equipment in action. The event was held by our West Coast Sales Team at Rotochopper customer, and gracious host, Barr-Tech Composting.
The day began with introductions, an overview of the day, and some Rotochopper history from Nick Korn, West Coast Regional Sales Manager and Tosh Brinkerhoff, Rotochopper President and CEO. The opening comments were quickly followed by the first demo of the day, a B-66 Horizontal Grinder grinding green waste and feeding directly into Rotochopper’s 365R Tracked Radial Stacking Conveyor.
The morning proceeded with demonstrations of Rotochopper’s exclusive screen change system on the B-66 Horizontal Grinder, the 75DK slow speed shredder, and the Go-Bagger 250. Attendees were engaged and impressed with each of these demos and provided great insight, questions, and conversations around the equipment and the use cases that would fit their own operations.
Over a barbeque lunch, attendees were able to learn more about RotoLink®, Rotochopper’s Remote Monitoring System. Doug (Spike) Meyer, Director of Customer Service logged into a machine currently running in the field and shared with attendees the data and analysis that is available remotely through RotoLink. This was followed by a Q&A conversation about colorant and coloring capabilities facilitated by Matt Cox, Western Regional Sales Manager at Colorbiotics. Both presentations sparked great questions and dialogue from attendees.
We rounded out the afternoon with a demo of Rotochopper’s new MT175 Trommel Screen, and grind and color demos of the MP-2 and B-66. Once again, the 365R Tracked Radial Stacking Conveyor was also part of the demonstration, this time behind the B-66L as it fed colored mulch onto the conveyor and demonstrated the ease of use and benefits of the radial features for an operation.
Rotochopper Sales Manager, Andy Bulson, shared, “As our only Field Event held this year, we had more machines on display than previous events. The attendees seemed to appreciate the wide range of equipment showcased from the B-66 to the GoBagger and our new trommel and stacking conveyor. It was also an excellent time to introduce Chad Angeli, our new Vice President of Customer Experience to some of our West Coast customers and prospects. A huge thank you to Barr-Tech and their employees for being such a wonderful host.”
Attendees at the event were excited to see all the equipment in action, network with other business owners and learn about the new and exciting things happening at Rotochopper. Thank you to everyone that was able to join Rotochopper at the West Coast Field Day.
